Valentin Hotea was born on the 26th of august 1967, in Bucharest. In 1995 he graduated from the Theatre and Film Academy, Film Faculty, in Film and television director. He has directed many short films, like Unde mergi tu, mielule? (1990), Si ce daca? (1992), Meditatia (1994), D’ale Bucurestilor (documentary, 1995), Lucy Castle-Hotea (documentary, 1996), and many others for television.

Bogdan Mustata: No, it's not my first time in Iasi, but I generally get the same impression of and universitary city I got before. Many well-dressed youngsters, full pubs.. but I wasn't aware of the traffic here. It's just as awful as the one in Bucharest.

Emanuel Lazarescu: Where does your passion for documentaries come from?
Adina Pintilie: You should rather ask me where my passion for cinema comes from (laughing). I don’t think there’s a certain line between fiction and documentary, I think there is cinema as a completely personal form of interpreting reality. The Lumière / Méliès Dilemma is no longer available today, I’d say; maybe it never was. If I can remember, we spoke about this before, about how, if not altering an event, the simple fact of how you put the camera, pick a “border” etc. makes the simple recording of reality made from a subjective point of view.

Ciprian Alexandrescu was born on the 27th of june 1978 in Timisoara. He graduated from the UNATC in 2007.
He has directed short films like Real, Punga de plastic, Acasa, Lunch Time. His newest short film, Interior. Scara de bloc, was selected for the 61st edition of the International Cannes Film Festival, in the Cinefondation section. The film had more than 20 participations in international festivals and won a special mention at the international film festival IndieLisboa in Portugal in 2008.

Catalin Saizescu was born on the of 10th march 1976. In 1998 he graduated in Arts at the Hyperion University, Film & TV Director, tutored by prof. dr. Mircea Dragan.
In 2004 he made his debut with the feature film Milionari de weekend, scripted by Mihai Arghiropol and Catalin Saizescu. It got the Jury Award at the Dakar Film Festival, the UARF Award for feature film debut.
